posted by StevePosted by Steve on August 29, 2003: New comic here. Few things worth noting on that one. First, Bob said that on the fourth panel he used finger paints or paint by number or some weird artist thing that I wasn't listening to. I'm sure he'll tell you all about it. Second, it was brought to my attention, after the script was written, that the gag in the last panel was apparently used in Wayne's World. Since I didn't know it at the time I wrote it, and I'm far too lazy to change it once it's written, I kept it as is. But if you noticed it and thought we were just stealing the gag or whatever, there ya go.

Now, about last week's strip. I was pretty shocked to actually get some feedback on it. (only a few emails, but for us that's pretty much a metric shit-ton) It made us feel good to know we've actually got a bit of a fan base and that, as Bob put it, we're not on a first name basis with everyone who reads this thing. So thanks to those who wrote in. (and shame on you if you didn't. Slackers.)

As far as what happened to Steve, and what his future holds, you'll just have to keep reading the comics to find out. 'Cause, you know, it'd be kinda stupid for me to tell you everything here. Although it'd save Bob a lot of time, since he wouldn't have to draw all the comics for the next few weeks. Still, I think we'll go with what's been working.

One last thing. Someone asked me why Steve didn't put up an arguement when Jessie fired him. It was one of two things. Either he argued between the time she fired him and the time he walked out, but we didn't actually show it because of space concerns, or i just goofed up. Pick one.

And a little link action and I'm outta here. See you next week.

So, Soul Calibur 2 is as good as promised. I got the 'Cube version, cause, well, it's got Link. You have to figure the PS2 one won't look good, and the Xbox version has Spawn, so it's not a hard choice.

Also, there's a comic you need to check out called Blankets, by Craig Thompson. It's almost 600 pages, but I was done with it in probably under 90 minutes. It just flies by, and you want to read it as soon as you're done.

Well, I suppose that's it for now. Come back next week and we'll see where this little story of ours is headed.
