Posted by Steve on May 30, 2003: This week's strip is the start of a serious stretch of continuity. It's also, how to put it, fucking huge. Even though it's probably all my fault for writing a big script, I still blame the whole thing on Bob. Anyway, Bob and I both think the stuff coming up is really good, so hopefully you guy's will dig it too.
Another note on this week's strip. It required that the character you all know as "bob" to have a last name. You'd think that'd be easy enough, right? Write down a few last names, pick the one that sounds best, bickety bam, done.
Not quite.
You see, what we quickly realized is that the name "bob" sucks. it's true, and even artist Bob agrees. So everything we thought of, when paired with "bob", sounded...goofy...for lack of a better term. So when it got to the point where the comic was done and we were still trying to figure out a last name, I pretty much left it up to artist Bob. (I swear, if there's one thing I regret, it's naming the characters after ourselves. So much confusion.) So Bob went with Murdock, and we finally put the whole mess behind us. (and in case you were wondering, yes, that Murdock.) So anyway, the moral of the story is that if you're making a comic, don't name characters after yourself, and for the love of God don't name 'em "bob".
In other news, there's this. I think I'm gonna leave it at that. See you next week.

Posted by Bob on May 30, 2003: Hey gang. This week's comic is freakin HUGE, but I think it's worth it. Gee, can you tell who "Mr. O'Brien" is modelled after? I know you know this...
My big news for this week is that as of now, I don't have to wear glasses anymore. Yep, I jumped on the bandwagon and got contacts. Having worn glasses since fourth grade, I can tell you it is wild to be able to see without having glasses on my face. Don't worry, comic Bob is gonna keep his glasses.
So Amanda and I went to see Matrix Reloaded last night. One word review? Confusering. I won't lie, I wasn't able to follow the first Matrix that well. Probably something to do with my inability to watch a movie and do nothing else. I ALWAYS do something else when a movie's going. Most of the time, I'm watching something and workin' on the comic. Anyway, being in a theater with 7 other people (and that's total. Not like, me and seven other friends. It was EMPTY) I can't do something else. So, sitting there watching the movie, I was confused. If anyone can Send me an email or post on the forum and tell me just what I missed, it'd be great.
Now, the effects in the movie were pretty cool. The Neo/Millions of Agent Smiths fight was cheesy, but freakin' cool. The part with Morpheus fighting in traffic is worth the ticket alone. Heck, even Colonel Sanders of KFC fame is in the flick, so that's cool too. I just wish I knew what the heck it was all about...
Steve doesn't know about this, and I am not promising anything, but looking at other webcomics, they offer merchandise. So my question is this: Is there a market out there for any sort of Think Tank stuff? Shirts, books, hats, CD's, etc.? Again, email me or post on the forum. I don't expect anything to come of it, cause Steve and I probably don't have the resources for any of that sort of thing, but I am just curious. Our only true option would be likely Cafepress, which I am told is not too hot, but still. Like I say, I'm just curious. I wouldn't expect anything...
Well, I think that's about all I have to say. Now, if you don't mind, I have to work on a comic...
