I like to think there's not too many of our comics that are "inside" or anything, but I really think that if you haven't worked retail before, this one is probably going to sail right over your head. Sorry.

Also, this week's strip is our first one that uses the PNG format. The result seems to be pretty good quality with a much smaller file size. We're gonna test it again next week, but if anyone has a problem viewing the file, speak up now.

Poor telemarketers think that "do not call" lists are unfair.

Speaking of things that make you embarrassed to play video games, check out this thread over at GameFaqs. Sheesh.

So apparently there's already a law on the books to prosecute file swappers.

That's about all I've got. See you next week.

Now, I feel this requires a bit of description. See, back in 2001 a little game came out called "Batman Vengeance." Steve and I both really liked it, and ther was one really cool detail: Batman's cape. It flies and flutters about in the game as a cape in real life might, and it is really neat to just watch it go. Steve and I are both in the school where if it's a really mundane detail that they actually took the time to animate, then it's really cool.

So onto the quote. Anytime we see something that's just really neat looking in a game, it becomes "Batman's cape." Steve was over at my house the other day and we were playing Metroid Prime. And when I say "We were playing," I mean he played for a couple hours and I watched. (Quick sidenote: Aren't there some games that are just as much fun to watch as they are to play? Resident Evil is one, as is GTA3 and apparently, Metroid Prime.) So anyhow, everytime something really cool happened in the game, it was "Whoa! Check that out! It's so Batman's Cape!" Like when you are close to an explosion and you can see Samus' eyes reflected in the visor. Batman's Cape!

So that's that story. Now, in the future, if you ever hear us mention "Batman's Cape" in reference to a game or a movie or something, you will know what it means.
