Posted by Bob (bob at screenfreeze dot net) on December 1, 2006: Today's comic is very much true. On black Friday morning, it's insane. People everywhere, lining up in front of your store at 5 in the morning even though you don't open until 8, people yelling at you if you sell out of something, because you know. it's your fault. It's just ridiculous. Then about 2, 3 o'clock-ish, it becomes a whole new day. The store just empties. The clouds part, birds sing, the sun shines. I closed on black Friday this year at a store that closes at 9. By about 7, we had nothing to do. The place was recovered, shelves were stocked, the place was empty. It's a crazy thing.
So, pretty much every week now Steve complains to me that he likes the comic better when I don't hand letter it, because "(my) handwriting is terrible." What do you guys think? Should I keep it up? Or is it better to computer letter it? I like hand lettering because it makes the finished art look more complete-having the script right on the page is nice. It also helps me with composition; I can lay out the panels better with the word balloons right there. But it does look neater with computer lettering. So feel free to let me know.
Are you tired of your video game women looking like this? Do you miss the days when the ladies were barely discernible from the men? Well friend, you may have some sort of issues with that. But since I try to cater to everyone here at Think Tank, here's a list of the hottest NES girls.
Oh man. This is easily one of the funniest videos I've seen in a good long time. Between the phone bouncing up higher than him and the slam of the door, it makes me laugh every single time.
Is it just me, or does this just seem like a very berry baaaaaaad idea? Condoms are made a very specific way to make sure nothing goes wrong with them, having it as a spray just seems like a disaster waiting to happen. But on the nice side, you can spray the hell out of someone with latex if you don't like them. That could be fun. It seems like something that would be fun to fuck around with, not something to fuck with. (I was going somewhere else with that line when that Pulitzer prize winning line came into my head, heh.)
Since I'll probably be working on Sunday, will someone go out and pick me up a Wii? I can pay you back!
Looks like Kutaragi is taking the fall. I wonder if he's gonna be the only one, or if this is just the beginning?
I can't believe brown just wasn't a hot color. It boggles the mind! I read somewhere that USB hubs are selling more on Amazon right now than the Zune. Ouch. We have one at OD on display now, and I gotta tell you, it doesn't seem too bad. The screen is big and bright, albeit at the same res as an iPod, so it's no better. The on screen effects and transitions and stuff are cool, but it just isn't as nice as an iPod. Ah well. I was never planning on getting one anyhow.
Mario Aran? Meta Goomba? What the hell am I talking about? An artist that makes me very jealous, that's what!
Here's the best "One picture a day" video I've ever seen.
I'm out of links, so I will leave you with this: Seinfeld, the lost episode! See ya in a week, gang.
