I just figured it'd be a good change from the store, you know? And since I eat lots of Taco Bell, (I am killing myself slowly,) I figured it was as good a place as any.

Originally, Steve wanted Daydream Nation on the iPod, but I figured it was too big a jump to go from D to S in the album titles, so I dropped it. I only mention it in my newspost so Steve gets his Sonic Youth mention in here somewhere. There might be a story behind this week's comic, too. I don't even know. Steve didn't tell me and I didn't ask. That's the way things work here at Think Tank HQ.

So, there's a good chance that when you read this, Steve, Liz and myself may all be working. On black Friday. So to all the people that have the day off and are going shopping for Christmas, looking for that one fantastic deal no one else has found yet, I say to you this: You can go fuck yourselves. David Willis says it better than I can. "I remember when Thanksgiving was fun. I've just been left a husk of a man."

What makes it even worse is that if I were to go out on Friday, there's a chance I might find a Wii. But what's that? Yep, I've gotta work. When they announced the Wii and as it was being talked about, I was in the "Cool, I'll get one eventually" category. Now that it's out and for sale (yeah right) I belong to the "I need it yesterday" category. Sigh. Will someone buy me one?

Ever want to watch some banned cartoons? Here's a site that's got a whole bunch of them to find. Neat stuff.

This is a badass video showing a whole bunch of average things as seen through a slow motion FPS camera. My personal favorite is the water balloon. It's crazy how different these things look like this. The way the guy's nose wiggles on the slap is great too.

Strike! Err, would that be ball three? I love how the umpire adjusts himself as he walks up too. Real classy.

Fair and balanced? Hell yeah, that certainly describes the Fox News Channel.

Man, I want to graduate from the Zidane School of Problem Solving. Seems like it would be a fun place to go. Imagine the debate classes. Or the speech team! And with that, this post comes to an end. See you all in a week!

He wants an mp3 player, and was curious about an ipod, so I let him mess around with mine. By the time he was finished, he came to this conclusion. Also, this comic features a rare appearance by Joe, if only to make up for Bob forgetting to draw Joe in a couple weeks ago.

In case anyone was curious (I can't imagine why you would be, but who knows) here's the rundown on the cds in the comic.

I bought A Night at the Village Vanguard because Henry Rollins talks about it a lot in one of his books, I don't remember which. Anyway, it's really good. I highly recommend checking it out.

Same & Dave are, well, Sam & Dave. Check 'em out.

Talk is Cheap and Think Tank are a great bunch of talking show cds (Talk is Cheap is four volumes and counting) by Henry Rollins. Sometimes they're in stores, but you might have to go right to the source.

I don't mean to shill ipods or anything. To be honest, I generally try to keep brand names out of the comics. (I objected when Bob wanted to name the location of this comic "Taco Bell") I know there's other mp3 players out there. I know some have better features. I'll try not to bring 'em up again in the future.

Anyway, that's all for now. See you next week.
