Posted by Bob (bob at screenfreeze dot net) on October 27, 2006: Halloween is almost upon us, so tradition dictates we post a new Halloween comic. The story behind this comic is that Steve has been watching lots of Nightmare on Elm Street lately. We needed a new comic, and then he wrote this one. Good story, eh? I dunno, Steve may have more on this, but essentially, that's how this comic came about.
What can I say, they can't all be winners!
What's funny though, is that Steve told me "I just recently realized that Freddy's sweater is green and red, not black and red. I just sorta agreed, because, yeah, those movies tend to be dark enough where it's hard to make out the colors perfectly. But then I realized something. About, ohhhh...One year ago, we did a fucking COMIC WITH FREDDY'S SWEATER. I honestly think that jackass doesn't pay attention to anything I do.
Anyhow. Onto some links. Since it's close to halloween, I suppose this's as good a time as any to link to this: Friday the 13th in seven minutes! That's right, 7 minutes of pure carnage, Jason Voorhees style. This is a great video, and shows why you should all watch every Friday the 13th movie. Even Jason takes Manhattan. And Jason goes to Hell. And especially Jason X. Robo-Jason in space in the future? How can that fail? I can't look at all those words in one sentence and see any possible way it could be bad. It's an idea so foreign you might as well be speaking a different language.
Fuck it, here's some more horror. The top thirteen horror movies as chosen by The Geek Zine. I've actually seen all the movies on the list except for Saw. Looking at it though, I don't think I'd put The Shining at number one. I really didn't even think it was a very good movie. I know, everybody loves it, but it just didn't do anything for me. And I'd definitely take Hellraiser off there. That movie SUCKED. Replace it with Candyman or something. Anything but that stupid ass movie.
Steve's generally the Game Revolution guy here, but I found this countdown of the 50 worst video game names ever. I figured since I'm the countdown guy, I'd take this one.
"Pesterminator: The Western Exterminator" might very well be my favorite name of all time.
What the hell, how about another countdown? Here's a random website's list of the top 100 movies of all time. I have no life, so that means I've seen lots and lots of movies in my 24 years. What surprises me though is how few of these movies I've seen. I'd count, but I my life isn't quite THAT sad. Anyway, I think it's time to head over to Netflix and add some movies to my already overflowing queue.
Nope. Shouldn't try to outrun roadblocks. Just not a good idea. I think my favorite part is how they keep getting the windshield wipers knocked on. I dunno why, but that's my favorite part of this video.
So, ever wonder what Family Guy would be like if all the flashbacks were removed? Well, wonder no more! It's Seth McFarlane's worst nightmare!
And well, that seems to be all I've got to link to this week. Which works, cause I'm getting pretty tired. So I think I'll just end my post here, and everything will end well. Right? Right!
