Posted by Bob (bob at screenfreeze dot net) on October 20, 2006: The origins of this week's comic pretty much stem from Steve's want for me to watch bands I don't like, I think. Originally, this was a comic that involved Bob and Jessie watching a U2 video and commenting on it. Basically, Bono's on stage with a lady and she's half naked and dancing and he doesn't even acknowledge her there. As Steve said, "It's not like he needs to fuck her on the stage, but at least make it look like you know she's there" So Steve writes this comic that's pretty funny. Then we talked about it and thought "You know, we are referencing a video that's like ten years old and isn't terribly well known." And we did some research and found out that the chick was Edge's wife. So that script, in it's current form, was out.
So we were going to use the frame of it and base it around a movie where the lead characters have no chemistry with each other. We had heard of movies like that, but couldn't think of anything we've seen where that was the case. So now we're stuck with a good idea for a comic and no real idea to base it on. Enter Liz. I asked her if there's any movies she could think of where there's no chemistry, and she had nothing. But then came up with the Viggo thing. Knowing a good idea when we saw it, we stole it thought we could use it and hence, a comic has been produced. And that's the story of Think Tank number 243, folks.
I have to admit, I actually had to tear myself away from a video game to write this newspost. I finally paid money for a game on Xbox Live Marketplace. Yep. I paid money for something that doesn't really exist in the physical world. But on the plus side, it's Lumines, which is a freaking fantastic game. I tried it on the PSP, but seeing as I don't ever touch that thing, (right now it's not even in the same state as I am,) when I saw it was available for the 360 I jumped on that shit. 1200 points, and worth every one of them.
So, it looks like tag is now illegal in one elementary school. Pretty soon, no more recess and then no more lunch and no more talking.
Anybody know about Totaka's song? This link's a neat YouTube video where they talk about a certain song that's hidden in a bunch of Nintendo games. It's the hidden signature of Kazumi Totaka.
And now here's the most addictive game ever made. And on the plus side, there's no music or sound effects either. I hate that when you find fun flash games that have music that makes you want to blow your head off you can't fucking turn it off. God damn that's annoying. Anyway, the best I can get it 26.478 seconds. I have to keep playing!
Whenever I find something that's linked as "Ghost pictures!" or something similar, I will click on it, even though I know half the time there's gonna be something that pops up to scare me. So I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the "top ten ghost pictures." But it's actually pretty neat. It's just what you'd expect. Whether you believe it or not, it's at least worth looking at.
You've all seen the Wizard, right? I don't have anything to say about it, I'm just checking.
Wait a second...Didn't we write a comic about this already? Damn right. Great minds think alike, motherfucker!
Well, that's all I've got, but before I go, here's the latest bunny movie reenactment: Fight Club. Be good, kids.
