posted by BobPosted by Bob on August 11, 2006: And so the "Steve is afraid of a bee" arc comes to a close. I realized when I finished this comic that I screwed up Jessie's shirt. When she first started wearing this one, it had that little v-neck thing going on. You'll notice that since then, it's been absent. Think Tank: We're suckers for detail!

Wizard World has come and gone. I haven't put together my report on it yet, but keep your eyes open on the forum, I'll post it there once I get a chance to get things put together.

So, this thing doesn't look too hard to do, but still. Will someone come to my house and do that to my car? That'd be badass. I'd have the coolest 97 Escort on the road!

Here's a look at quite possibly one of the creepiest motherfuckers on the internet. Though on the plus side, AOL releasing all those search logs just show me that I'm really not as fucked up as I thought. Thanks AOL!

So, I know lots of people can't use public bathrooms. Personally, I'm halfway there. I only freak out if someone else is in there. Now, imagine that you're in one, and you can see everyone walking past you as you sit or stand there. That's gotta be a strange experience.

Here's an article for my Windows friends, it's all about how to tune up your PC in 15 minutes. Seeing as my PC is off, I can't say how well it all works, but it seems to make sense. I've got it bookmarked, I'll get to it eventually, I swear!

(Just wanted to break in here for a second. Most of this seems to be good advice. However, I just wanted to point a few things out. I've never heard of this "CCleaner" app. It might be truly wonderful for all I know. However, I'd personally be leery of anything that bundles itself with any toolbar, Yahoo or otherwise. Also, mucking around with the registry and services should be approached with caution, lest your system end up hosed. Basically, please don't blame us if you delete something and your system breaks. Thanks, and back to Bob's post. -Steve)

I dunno, there's just something cool about seeing a bullet shoot through something with a high speed camera. I link to those pages everytime I find them. I think it's neat.

I am a giant nerd!

I really never could make anything out of Lego. The best I could do was make Mario characters.

I will leave you today with proof why outsourcing is awesome. Time to go kill some zombies. Dead Rising awaits.

It's funny. Sometimes we go right down to the deadline before we come up with a comic, and sometimes a co-worker grabs a phone book and tells yo to "keep him busy" while he sneaks up on a bee Sam Fisher style.

Which reminds me, we don't have a comic for next week yet. Shit.

Man, we are well on our way to raising a raising a generation of lightweights. I mean, not handing out invitations in class if there isn't one for everyone, sure. I guess I can understand that. And I think the one valentine for everyone thing was basically an unwritten rule when I was in school. But the no keeping score/everyone gets the exact same trophy thing? That's silly. Kid's are smarter than you're giving them credit for, and are perfectly capable of handling the idea of losing a baseball game. You know what makes a kid break down in tears over a little league game? His asshole parents shouting at him from the bleachers when he drops a pop-up. I played little league for years, and in that time I saw many parents, some of them team managers, riding their 8 year old son like there was a shoe contract on the line. There's really nothing like watching a little kid trying to strap on his catcher's gear with tears in his eyes while his father/manager screams at him in front of everyone for striking out. Want kids to have fun while still learning the difference between success and failure; to learn the value of earning something? Play the games, keep score, award size proportionate trophies for 1st/2nd/3rd place, and ban their parents from the games.

That's all I've got. See you next week.
