Posted by Bob on May 5, 2006: So, if we had said just "Subsistence" in place of "Metal Gear 3" would it have still made sense? Actually, looking at that panel, I probably should have defined where the word balloon was coming from better. It looks like it's just hanging there, rather than originating from Link. Ah well. So if it doesn't make sense for some reason, that first line is being said by the big man.
Let's start the links today with a link to my 360's new journal. Although I have discovered the 360 is a big liar. He says I've received lots of friend requests. That is not true at all. I don't have a single friend on my list, heh. Ah, online gaming, how I love thee.
Oh wait, maybe it should be loathe thee. I think that probably fits a little better.
Here's a fantastic collection of bad video game ads over the years from 1up.com. God, with advertising like that, how did we think ANY games would be good?
I mean, come on. "Your parents help you hook it up?" What the fuck is that?
As we all know by now, I'm a sucker for countdowns, even for ones like the top ten sci fi movies. I'm actually relatively disappointed in myself...I've only seen four of those on the list. (Star Wars, Alien, T2 and the Matrix, for those keeping track.)
Looks like I'll be buying a DS pretty soon. 129 for a smaller version with a nicer design and brighter screen? Sold. In hindsight, I should have picked up one of those instead of my PSP. Although, it probably would have ended up under my bed in the same box the PSP is in. I guess I'll find out come July, after I've had one for a bit, heh.
Eh, who am I kidding. I don't see myself buying it RIGHT AWAY, but then again, I never really planned on buying a PSP or a 360 so early, and here we are.
Two countdowns in one post? Why yes! It proves one thing: There are some FUCKED UP shows on tv for kids. I've seen bits and pieces of Lazytown. That thing is out there.
One more link to Chernobyl stuff. It may seem like I'm obsessed with this damn thing, but I just think abandoned places are interesting. Ghost towns, abandoned hospitals, empty malls... I think they're really neat. I'd love to be able to explore these places and take lots of pictures, but unfortunately, A) I don't know where a lot of them would be, and B) it's probably not very safe. So, I'll just look at 'em on the internet. See! There's more than porn on this thing!
And I'll close this post out with a link to some fantastic album covers. See you in a week, gang.
