Steve asked me what music I have that I'm embarrassed to show off, and the truth is that I really don't have any. Sure, I have cd's that I bought on other people's suggestion that I don't like (Kid Rock, Korn,) but nothing I'm embarrassed to listen to. And I listen to Cyndi Lauper, for christ's sake! I suggested Journey, but Steve's response was "Pass. I love the white sox, (White Sox should be capitalized. Show some fucking respect. -Steve) but I fucking hate journey. (journey should be capitalized too, but they suck, so I'll let it slide. -Steve) I'll have no part of them in the comic." So I guess that's a no. So, I guess it will be a surprise. As of this writing, we still don't have an answer. And the comic is supposed to be up in a few hours. But that's just the way we do it here at Think Tank HQ.

How we roll, if you wish.

I'm as surprised as you are to report that something good finally came out of Myspace! That makes it what, Myspace: One, the rest of the world: Seventeen thousand, I think.

The more and more I read about the Revolution, the more excited I get. Example? How about a new Nights Into Dreams? Man oh man. And with a motion sensitive controller? Fuck yes.

Sadly though, it seems there won't be another Katamari Damacy for the Revolution. This sucks, that motion sensitive stuff seems like it would lend itself perfectly to a game like Katamari.

So, I found this Machiavelli personality test test and while it is usually a LJ type of thing, I figured what the hell, I'll post it here. It scores from one to one hundred. I ended up with an 83. "You are a high Mach, you endorse Machiavelli's opinions." I'm almost a cut-throat!

Check out the "crazy beauty products that come from Japan!" I don't know about any of you, but I like the look of the dancing UFO.

As I've shown in the past, I really like to shed a light on the stupid things you can find on the internet. Well gang, it doesn't get much stupider than this.

Continuing with the fire theme, I shall title this one STOP, DROP AND ROLL!

And here's about one of the creepiest things ever.

And that's it. But I will close with the wit and wisdom of the one, the only, Mike Tyson. Have a good one, gang.

Between soup brought to work and the stuff I eat at home, I probably buy at least 12 cans a week. It's to the point where I vary which store I go to from week to week, so that no one store comes to know me as "the weird soup guy that comes every week". I also own a Jay-Z cd, in case you were wondering. Neither of us could really think of anything embarrassing to use. Or maybe it was that neither of us would admit anything embarrassing. Either way.

I picked up the new Tomb Raider this week. I'm about 7 and a half hours in, but I'm not sure if that counts the time I've spent wandering around the mansion, which is basically another level itself. I haven't quit finished yet, but from what I gather I'm not too far off, so the estimates of 6-10 hours of gameplay are probably pretty accurate, with more added if you spend the time getting all the secrets and unlocking everything. But, much like Prince of Persia, it's 6-10 good hours.

The biggest change that you'll immediately notice is to the way Lara moves. There's no more of that slow, awkward, grid like movement. No more "slow walk to the ledge, take a jump step back, then run forward and jump" type stuff. Lara now moves around quickly and smoothly, which helps her to finally look like the agile acrobat that she's always been in the cutscenes. In fact, when I was talking to Bob about the gameplay, I described it as basically Prince of Perisa without the wall running and time stuff.

Another major improvement is to the combat. You'll do quite a bit more fighting than in previous Tomb Raider games, but thanks to the new engine, you actually look forward to it. Lara is no longer "a turret" as Bob described her previous fighting ability. She's got moves to slide into enemies and knock them down, jump off them and blow them away in bullet time, and so on. You also seem to do much more fighting with humans than animals from what I've seen, which is fine by me. The few times I have fought an animal, it's been just as dull as it's always been.

So in summary, while Legend is a bit short, it's a huge step forward for the franchise. I don't blame you if you want to rent it because of the length, but it's got my blessing for a purchase. See you next week.
