Where am I?

Posted by Steve on July 13, 2002:So here's the thing, if you're gonna pay for your items with a check, that's fine. But for God's sake, at least know the name of the f*ckin store you're at! I mean really, this is not that tough. Most places have at least one sign (usually several) around the register to help you out.

Speaking of names, the more observant viewer will notice something different about this strip. The store in the strip has been renamed Relentless Records. (after the album by Bill Hicks) The store being named "Think Tank" is probably the one thing about the strip that just never sat well with me. However, since we couldn't think of anything better when we started this thing, we started calling it Think Tank as a temporary solution until we could think of something better. So, since this week's strip involves saying the store name over and over, we figured now would be as good a time as any to make the switch.

Posted by Bob on July 13, 2002: One of the hardest things for me is to come up with different designs for the customers. I always have trouble there. I somewhat base them on people I know or have seen, but it still gives me trouble from time to time. The last customer in the strip was a real pain to settle on a look for. And as far as the Snoopy check...I work in a store myself. It always seems like a lot of women have Snoopy checks, so I figured "Why Not?" And drew Snoopy. All apologies to the late Charles M. Schulz!
