posted by BobPosted by Bob on January 27, 2006: Well, the new comic is up. Looking at it now, I wouldn't be surprised if Steve wrote this entire story just so he could use that one reference. Whether he'll admit it or not, I know it's been inside of him for a while, just dying to get out. So finally we have it forever in our archives. And while I do not know what the future holds, I really hope that Steve doesn't write any more comics that are based in his car. I've had enough of that god damned vehicle for a long time. So you should all bombard Steve with e-mails requesting no more car comics. I'm sure he'd appreciate it.

Let's start off the links today by showing that HP is still fucking poor Scott Granneman. The last time I linked to this page it was around the 12/29-1/3 area. Check it out to see the latest in the saga of incompetence from HP.

Okay, some people say Superman and Batman are gay. Now, the obvious answer is that they are fictional characters, so who the fuck cares? But upon viewing this page, you really have to wonder. I wish I knew how to quit you! Ah, that's such a great terrible line.

And how about some awesome city photography? No real witty commentary or anything, just cool pictures.

American Idol is back. And I'm pretty happy. So far, there's been some downright train wrecks of humanity on that show. Example? Crystal Parizanski. See what I'm saying? There's been some better ones too, but that was the only video I could find, sadly.

Okay, I can't lie. I've done this. I'm also relatively sure that most young guys that are wrestling fans have too. The only difference? Most of us didn't record it and get it online. Although to be fair, when I was younger I didn't have internet access. Well, I did, but not until I was past the wrestling a stuffed animal age. I started dicking around online when I was in the...seventh grade, I think. Or was it the sixth? Either way, I'm almost 24 now, so my exploits have never been posted online. The end.

Well, if anyone out there (like me) wants a Nintendo DS, now might not be the time. It looks like you'd be better off waiting a little while. I was going to buy one a little while back, but held off because of the rumored redesign. Now that it looks to be reality, I can wait a little longer, I think.

And in some other good news, it looks like Toy Story 3 has been cancelled. Don't get me wrong, I love both Toy Stories, but Disney was supposed to make this one on their own, and if there's one thing Disney can not do, it is sequels. Now that Pixar is back in the fold, maybe some good will come of it.

Well, that's all I've got, so I will end the links today with a very classic addictive game. See you all in a week, folks.

posted by StevePosted by Steve on January 27, 2006: Did I write the arc for this comic? No. Did I have this comic in mind shortly after I started writing the arc? Yes. But that's not important. What's important is that any time is a good time for a Blues Brothers reference. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's like a musical, but without the sucking.

I wonder, is that pretty much just a Chicago thing? Do people in other states get into the Blues Brothers? (seriously, feel free to email me and let me know)

Now, I'm by no means a business major or anything like that, but doesn't this make you wonder a bit? I mean, doesn't Steve Jobs have a conflict of interest at that point? Don't you wonder, even a little, if he had Apple's best interest in mind with that deal? I mean, he's now the largest shareholder in Disney, which means you'll probably see more Disney content for the ipod video...thing. Which means more money for Apple. Again, maybe I'm making a lot out of nothing, but that's just some stuff I was thinking about, and figured I'd share.

Well, even if that whole paragraph was full of shit, it filled up my newspost for the week, so it's not all bad. See you next week.
