posted by BobPosted by Bob on July 29, 2005: Hello, all. New comic can be found here. This comic and the previous comic were both very nostialgia trip-inducing on me. I had to draw these characters that I thought we'd never see again. I think Carrot Top gets the award for most cameos by anyone who's not associated with us, (I.E. Jason.) Although, the 'Top may have made more appearances than Jason anyhow... And by the way, the Goth Topic guy? Yeah, those are black makeup tears. Not like, wrinkles or something. Now, you may be wondering how Colossus got to the court. See, I wondered that too. I had the whole thing almost drawn, and all of a sudden, it hit me that he was there. Me: "Wait, how did Colossus get to the court?" Steve: "I thought he was mobile now." Me: "He is?" Steve: "Yeah, I thought that was what that whole arc about getting rid of him was for."

Well, not really. That whole arc was because, (quoting my old post here) "Honestly, the main reason I wrote this whole thing? I didn't like Colossus' design. Simple as that. I originally based him off of a Defender cabinet, just with a keyboard instead of the joystick, and the more I looked at him, the less and less I liked it. So, out with that and in with the iPod look." So, now it seems Colossus is mobile. How? I don't know. Maybe Steve does, and someday we'll explain it. But knowing us, probably not. It'll just be one of those things you see that makes no sense, like Kenny being killed every episode and always coming back, and you just accept it. You don't need an explanation. Someday, we'll do a comic where Bob and Steve are in Colorado, and all of a sudden, Colossus will pop up, no explanation, and Bob and Steve won't be shocked. We're crazy like that.

In other news, we (we meaning I, thanks for nothing Steve,) made a new wallpaper! It can be found on the wallpaper page, surprisingly enough. I'm not sure where he's posting it, on the top of the page or the bottom, but it's the black and white one; the only one with Link in it. It was originally gonna be Steve, Bob and Joe, but then I remembered no one out there cares about Joe, so hell with him. I always intended for this to be black and white, but just in case you want it, I posted the color version of it in the forum. Also, if the three resolutions are not resolutions you use on your monitor, reply in the forum and I'll make one up for the right resolution for ya.

All right, onto some links. First, we have the Zone of Silence. That's a neat video, it's more or less about a Bermuda Triangle that's on land. Pretty interesting, and worth watching, seeing as the History Channel/Discovery Channel nerd in me has gotten loose lately.

Well, I know what I'm wearing at my wedding.

Here's the obligatory link of someone getting hurt. Seems like it's been a while since I've posted one of those, huh? Ah well, it's still worth watching.

Gary Busey vs. the Snapple Lady! The bout everyone wanted to see!

You know, something tells me you haven't watched any Weird Al videos lately. So, your homework is to click this link. I can still remember when Bad Hair Day came out. I was in seventh grade, (or was it eigth? Either way.) And I went to school and people were like "Yeah, there's this new guy named Weird...something. He made fun of Gangster's Paradise! It's so funny!" Yeah, they thought Weird AL was a new artist, which shows you the kind of people I hang out with.

One more thing before I go, a funny and gross Family Guy clip. That's all I've got, back in a week.

posted by StevePosted by Steve on July 29, 2005: Over the years, Bob and I have basically got a routine for the comic. I spend five minutes writing scripts, he spends all day drawing. I'm comfortable with that. When a script is done, I send the updated file his way. It's not uncommon for there to be a few weeks worth of upcoming scripts in there, and he usually just finishes one and moves to the next one.

At this point, I'm convinced that Bob is pretty much addicted to drawing this comic. The second he's done with all the scripts in the file, he starts asking me when the next one is coming, even if he's already done a month's worth of comics. If I have no other scripts for him, he makes wallpapers. I'd be willing to bet that 90% of our wallpapers came at a time when he had no comics to draw, and started going through withdrawals. That being said, there's a new wallpaper. You can find it, strangely enough, on the wallpapers page. It's a take on this album cover. He made a color version too, which you can find a link to in his post.

That's all for now. See you next week.
