Posted by Bob on July 15, 2005: Hey gang, I'm back and taking names this week. Or, just posting a new comic and writing a newspost. Either way. In case you were curious, the story behind last week's mysterious disappearance and my real newspost can be found here. I was just a little late, that's all. Anyhow, enough about last week, let's talk about this week's comic, yes? So, go read it first. Then meet me in the next paragraph.
So, there's a new superhero on the block. One who obviously has read Amazing Fantasy number fifteen. I couldn't NOT put that reference in there. Just who is this mystery person? Well, I don't really know yet. Steve hasn't told me. Cause he's a prick like that. Anyhow, I like this costume. Well, minus the helmet, but that's for a reason too. If I have my way, you'll see what I mean soon enough. And if not, then I'll just flat out tell you in the post. Cause I care. Unlike that bastard Steve!
Oooh, before I get much further, I'd like to mention that our forum has started to show some small signs of life once more, so feel free to come on in and post.
Anyhow, onto some links. How about a Backstreet Boys cover band? Well, kinda. I wouldn't post this normally, but that dude on the left keeps making me laugh, so maybe it's worth a post after all.
Then we have Sonic Boom Town. Basically, you drive a car around and use your speakers to destroy buildings. It's got a top down view, ala old GTA. I dunno, it entertained me for a little bit. Then it was back to the crushing, maddening depression. You've saved me yet another day, internet!
Don't worry, that wasn't true. I don't sit in my room and write angry poetry to my cat or anything, I just don't get out enough and I write this crap thinking it's funny. Oh how wrong I am!
I may have posted this before, but even if I have, you should check it out again. It's a really neat video of somone drawing a woman starting at the bones and building it all up from there.
This is an interesting, if somewhat creepy little video. Not entirely sure what to say about it, but still worth a look anyway.
How about another game? Here we have Heli Attack, which is just fucking fantastic. Seriously, if this came out in the 8/16 bit days, it would have sold bucketloads. Very worth checking out. I had to change the controls though, cause using WASD to move doesn't click with me.
All right internet, I'll talk to you again next week. I'll bring a comic, you bring the chips. Deal?
