Found this while wandering around online. It's the mall from the Blues Brothers. I guess it's still there, 25 years later, abandonded and crumbling. More history here, and more pictures and info here.
If I may go geek on you for a second, this is very very good news. The software patent situation here in the States is ridiculous to say the least. It's good to see others not following suit, at least. Did you know someone has (and once made a sad attempt to try to enforce) a patent on hyperlinks? You know, those little links we put in these posts and you guys never click? Did you know Apple has a patent on themes? Not on a specific theme, mind you, but on the very action of theming an operating system. Granted, I don't think either of those would (did) stand up to much scrutiny, but a lot of them do.
