Posted by Bob on June 17, 2005: The script for today's comic read as such: "(bob and steve in a game store. everyone's shoulder to shoulder.)" The bastard, he wants me to draw a crowd scene. So, I draw a crowd scene. Sixty one people in 13 panels, not even counting panel number 13. Granted, not all the people are FULL people, some of 'em are just shoulders or backs, but I think it beats the hell out of my last big group shot, no?

Oh, and in case panel nine isn't terribly clear, it was written as "from the other side of the room a copy of God of War is passed, hand over hand, over a sea of heads, to bob." When I drew it, it seemed okay, but seeing the finished product I wasn't sure if it made much sense, so I thought I'd clear it up, just in case.

I'm sure you remember me posting a link to the dude playing video game music on a piano. Well, he has website now, the Video Game Pianist. Check it out, there's some good stuff up there, especially if you like game music.

Ah, Alien Homonid. If you're looking for a good flash shooter, you can't do much better than Alien Homonid. I keep meaning to pick this up on the 'Cube, but I just never get around to it, unfortunately. One of these days, I'll get it...

So, is this for real? That's a crazy story. Almost too crazy to be real.

Huh, so it seems Mario is a Communist. I never would have guessed. I might have linked to that before, I can't remember after all these damn newsposts.

Ah, how I love it when someone starts gloating and it results in them losing. It's just gold. Too funny.

Surprisingly, a lot of funny things come out of the news. Too bad it was in Raleigh, and not any of the Chicago markets...I would have loved to see that. I wonder if the newscasters saw any of it? I bet someone got fired for all this, heh.

Whee, let's all point and laugh at the Goth Kids!

Here's a neat flash based Batman game. My biggest complaint? You get points for a "One Hit Combo!" What the hell is a one hit combo? Doesn't combo imply that there's more than one? How can you have more than one if you end at one? Wouldn't you think someone would have noticed that during development?

And today, I close with this, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at the Michael Jackson trial. Let me tell ya, it's almost as good as the Triumph at the Star Wars premeire video. For real. Back in a week, gang.

Posted by Steve on June 17, 2005: Without naming names, there's this video game store. This alone wouldn't be a big deal. There's lots of video game stores. What makes this one unique is that it exists inside a completely different store. Plus, these stores within a store tend to be tiny to say the least. I mean, there's one by my house, and the people working there tend to be very nice as far as video game store employees go. (a quick question: Do you have to be a dick to work at Gamestop? Is it on the app or something?) But still, it feels like you're shopping in a closet, and when more than say, 2 people are there at once, it gets a bit crowded.

I'm almost positive that at some point I had more to say than that, but damned if I can remember it now. I guess that's all for now. See you next week.
