Posted by Bob on June 10, 2005: New comic thingy is up. You really didn't think Steve and Bob would call it quits after all this time, did you? I mean, Steve and I have known eachother for like seven years or so, the comic Steve and Bob have known eachother for god knows how long. Of course they would make up. Besides, how often do our storylines end up changing things like this forever? We fired Steve, we brought him back. We killed Colossus, we brought him back. Steve and Bob fight, Steve and Bob make up. In the Relentless Records world, things always have a way of resolving themselves. But now that we've lulled you into a false sense of security, who knows where the next arc will lead! Dun-dun-dunnnnnn....
Art wise, this comic does have one change; Colossus has changed a bit. He has gone from somewhat cartoony to a more John Byrne-esque look. Say what you want about John Byrne now, but back in the day, he was the fucking man. If you were to ask my favorite comic covers of all time, I bet he's in the top ten four or five times. Same with Chris Claremont. He used to be a phenomenal writer, but I can't remember the last thing he wrote that I liked. His style relies far too much on internal dialogue about what the character is doing. "I'm being shot at! I have to duck behind that wall. I'm behind the wall, but the assassin won't relent!" Blah blah blah. It just doesn't work nowadays.
Anyway, onto the links. First off, we have Guess Which Movie.com. It's a pretty good guess the movie based on the screenshots game, as you might suspect from the title. It's definately a lot easier than the one I posted a while back, which you can find here if you want to take another crack at it. Guess Which Movie is easier, but it's a lot bigger-as of now it has 256 movies in the database. So get going!
So, I'm sure you remember the "Movies reenacted in thirty seconds by bunnies" thing. And, since my brother said he'd stop reading the comic if I didn't post this this week, here's the new one, Pulp Fiction. There's also three new horror movie..umm, movies. Well, they're probably old, but I don't remember ever seeing them before. You get Freddy vs Jason, Scream and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, (the new one.) Not a bad deal, eh?
How about an insanely addicting game? POOM! It's simple, all you have to do is keep the ball in the air. But it's harder than it looks. I don't have a terribly high score to share because I just found it as I was writing this post. But you can bet I'll probably be playing that a lot tonight.
So, the Japanese invent the absolute coolest things. The absolute best part of the article is the following quote: "Humans may be able to mutate into supermen in the near future." That's freakin' awesome.
I *think* I've linked to this before, but just in case I haven't, here it is again. Bam! Sand Art! Even if I have linked to it, you should check it out again, cause it's really cool.
And here we have a Bait car. From the site: "Bait Cars are rolling, remote-controlled traps to catch car thieves and put 'em away." What's better is the videos that result. They're great!
And of course, we need some Dane Cook. We need some more mocking of Tom Cruise. I mean really, did you see him on Oprah? He was ridiculous. Amanda has officially removed him from her fuck list. That should tell you something right there!
Oooh, I haven't posted any pain this week. Problem solved! And that, my friends, is why the UFC is awesome. Well, they used to be. I haven't seen any UFC stuff in years.
Okay, One last punch. Back in a week, gang.
