posted by StevePosted by Steve on April 29, 2005: We've made a comic. I really like it. Most of it was just a conversation that Bob and I had, with me using the end as a chance to get Colossus into the comic.

So, a couple weeks into the Back to the PC experience, things are going relatively well. Being able to walk into an electronics store and actually buy software is a nice feeling. And so far Windows is...surprisingly more stable than I remember it being back in the Windows 98 days. (knock on wood) I do miss a few things though. Like the eject button on the keyboard, mainly because of habit at this point. And the taskbar most definitely sucks. It gets the job done for the most part but, as much as I never thought I'd say this, I miss the Dock. It's odd to use at first, but when you get used to it, it's a far more efficent way of organizing and launching apps. It's my understanding that there's quite a few dock clones available for Windows, but I've built up a keen mistrust for most Windows software, be it shareware or freeware, so I'm not sure where to go with that.

But still, all things considered, I stand by my decision. It was never a disappointment with the Mac OS that made me leave it behind. The problem is that I just can't possibly justify the price anymore. I mean, I got a fairly respectable machine (dvd, dvdrw, tv out, etc) for just shy of what a "high end" eMac would have cost me. Sure, that comes with a monitor, but a basic monitor isn't exactly an arm and a leg these days.

And as a quick side note, someone at Apple should be fuckin arrested for their monitor prices. That's just fucking nuts.

So anyway, the Mac OS is really a great operating system. I'm just not sure it's worth the ridiculously inflated hardware prices. See you next week.

Okay, I'm back. And now that I know what comic it is, I'm ready to unload with information about it. Yes, this comic is true. Well, up until the Colossus part. See, he doesn't really exist. Much like Santa or the Easter Bunny, he's just a figment of our fucking imagination! I'm sorry if I broke any hearts out there. But really, pay more attention. He's just a drawing. Anyway, this is true. The song truly exists.

So, apparently this lady is out of money again. Some people just have more money then they know what to do with, that's gotta be it. And I'd like to tell them they can easily send it to me. Hell, I'll send you a drawing. Commision me, seriously. I'm quite okay with trading drawings for money.

Whenever I find a cool game room picture, I post it just for Jason to see. I think Jason usually wins just based on sheer volume, but I have to tell ya Jason, this guy may just have you beat on sheer coolness factor alone. I would kill for an awesome room like this. I should turn our basement into my entertainment room. That would rock, if it weren't for the cat's litterbox being down there.

And here we have a very very brutal boxing KO. This is a great shot. I can understand why the lady had to be taken out on a stretcher. Just as good as the punch is the celebration that follows afterward.

As we all know, I'm a lifelong wrestling fan. So it is with great ...not pride, not happiness...I can't think of the word I'm looking for here. So it's with great something or other that I bring you this, the old "Real American" Hulk Hogan music video. This thing is soooo cheesy. I absolutely love it. A while back the WWE(F) released a DVD on Hulk called "Hulk Still Rules," and I bought it partially because it had this video hidden as an easter egg on there. I won't lie, that was one of the things that got me in the door.

Ok, seriously, AOL is so not worth it.

Granted, Kevin Smith is a very big Star Wars fan to begin with, but he does seem to think that Episode three rocks. There's spoilers in there; if you don't want to see em, don't click the link.

So, Willy Tanner, (the dad from ALF, bitches,) equals a gay crackwhore. Link. An oldie but a goodie.

Tetris is always good. Unfortunately, the music blows. You can just turn it down though. A good flash version of Tetris is always good by me.

The trailer's up for George Romero's new zombie movie, Land of the Dead. Amanda, I may be dragging you to see this with me. But of course, we'll have to watch Night, Dawn, Day and the Dawn of the Dead remakes first....I like the sound of that.

Oh, so I finished God of War for PS2 the other day. Fantastic game, great story, great ending. Probably the best game I've played this year, if anyone's interested.

I will leave you this week with a list of actual stupid band names. You gotta love Elvis Hitler. Back in a week, gang.
