posted by StevePosted by Steve on December 31, 2004: Well, it's update time, and Bob is nowhere in sight. Which means either A) his internet connection is for sucks, or B) he hates you guys. Either one is possible. He's kind of a dick like that. But don't worry. I've got the comic, and a bit of a newspost. What more do you need?

So, it's return season again. Perhaps you remember the last time. Actually it's not bad at all. We get a decent amount, but luckily the return policy at the store makes the whole thing very easy.

So, I started playing Prince of Persia: Warrior Within this week. I know the feedback from most people has been disappointing and they ruined the story and blah blah blah, but I've gotta tell you, I don't have a big problem with it. Yes, the Prince has some really awkward lines, and the chick that's barely got clothes on is a bit much, but I kinda like the direction they took the story, that the Prince has been paying a price for his actions and so on. And while there does seem to be more combat, I think it might just be that its a bit more spread out. In Sands, it was big platforming segment, big fight segment, repeat. Now the fighting is more spread out, so there's not a 20 enemy fight sequence and then 15 minutes of platforming. Granted, I'm not terribly far in, so my opinion on all this is subject to change, but so far I find it just as engrossing as the first one.

Also, I picked up Fable as well, and so far I'm fairly pleased with that as well. However, I've had even less time for Fable than I've had for Warrior Within, so I'll hold off comments on that one until I have some more time into it.

One last thing, I also picked up Animal Crossing. I've been looking at it for awhile now, and it was fifteen bucks, so I figured at worse the memory card it comes with is worth that much. I'm not sure what to say about that one. I didn't really do anything in it, yet I played it for about 3 hours. I'm not sure what to say about a game that, when a friend asks you what the game is about after you've played it for three hours, you have no idea what to tell him.

That's all for now. See you next week.
