Posted by Bob on October 22, 2004: Hey all. So, it is true. Steve did really buy a Ramones album. I don't know which one, but at least he got one. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, right? Overall, I really am kinda happy with how this comic turned out. I did some different things with the coloring; I dunno if it's noticeable or not, but I like it. I hope those things in the first and third panel read as CD shelves. What do you think? Let me know, yeah?

Oh, he's been doing it for a while, but I keep forgetting to mention it here. Jim Mahfood has been doing comics for the Phoenix New Times. I don't know if he's on a specific time frame for updates, but you can see the new comics here. You should check 'em out; Mahfood is an art hero of mine, as some of the older comics (and occasionally, a panel or two here and there of newer ones) would attest to.

Huh. The Wario Brothers are Nazis. Who knew? I'm more surprised to find out that Wario and Waluigi are brothers. Is that true? Or is the writer just assuming? I don't know; I've never played a game with Waluigi in it.

I love it when artists find out the crap you can do on the internet. Check this out. Click the thing to start, then use the up arrow to zoom in or the down arrow to zoom out. Simple. It's really cool though.

Posted by Steve on October 22 2004: Yes, I bought a Ramones CD. (the self titled one) My reaction to it is pretty accurately shown in the comic, so I'll leave you to it.

For any baseball fans out there, there's a fairly interesting thread going on in the forum that you might want to check out. (And maybe, you know, register and post while you're there.)

Oh, and I'm officially upgrading Paper Mario from "awesome" to "fucking awesome". It's right there next to Metroid Prime and Wind Waker as games anyone with a Cube should play.
