posted by BobPosted by Bob on August 13, 2004: Hey gang. Today's comic is what happens when I've got an idea for something and I feel like writing it down and sending it to Steve. That's something I've always wanted to do to people who call up the store I'm at...Just lead 'em all over the place, and never really tell them where the place is.

Whether you know it or not, this weekend is the weekend of Wizard World Chicago! Comic-cons are an absolute blast, and I've been looking foward to this for months. This trip, however, I'll be giving out comics I printed up! I made fifty of them, and hopefully, I'll be able to pass them all out in the course of three days. If not, maybe I'll sell off what's left through the site. Who knows. I don't have a fancy-pants booth, like some other comics, but that's cause I think it'd be more fun to wander the floor all day anyway. So, if for some reason you're at the con, make sure to take a look for Amanda or myself. Chances are good we'll be in artist's alley most of the time. I'll have my camera with me, and hopefully I'll get some pictures of freaks to post! Cross your fingers!

Hopefully, thanks to my efforts at Wizard World, there will be some new readers to the site this week. So, as a result of that, I'll take some time to do a quick little tour of the site. Check out the archives, to see the 129 comics we've put together so far in the last two years. Clicking on Characters will take you to a page that needs updating, the character bios, obviously. If you like the art in any of these comics, there's six wallpapers up in the appropriate section. And don't forget the forum, where a dedicated few people post. Any questions for Steve and I can be posted there, with an almost immediate response. Or, you can just email us; god knows we've got the time to reply to whatever you have to say. So, there you have it. The site laid out in a single paragraph. Hope you like it.

Well, after eighteen years, I finally did it. And damn it, I'm quite proud of myself. You don't understand. I've never looked at a walkthrough for this game, nor have I ever looked at any ending movies. I didn't want to see what happened, because I knew someday I'd do it on my own. And now? I have. YES!

Other game stuff? Okay. Like I said last week, I picked up Freedom Force. Well, I finally created the Retail Avenger, just like I said I would. There's still some work I need to do, like giving him his real belt instead of the generic one there. But for a irst draft, it didn't turn out too bad. The picture itself isn't too hot, cause I needed to take a picture with my camera, since it wouldn't let me do a good ol' command+control+3 screenshot. Ah well.

I remembered what I was gonna post last week- I made a minor update to my website. Nothing huge, but hey, it's something.

All right, kind of a light post from me this week; mainly because I've got Comic-con on my mind and can't get it off. So, I think I will just stop here and start working on the next comic. Ahh, the life of an unknown comic artist. You envy me, i know, I know.

posted by StevePosted by Steve on August 13, 2004: So yeah, this week's comic is (yet again) completely Bob's creation. I swear, as time goes on I do less and less with this comic. Pretty soon it's gonna be his show, and I'll just be the jackass that does the html and pays the server bill.

Anyway, Bob's going to that comic con...thing, this weekend. I'd go, but the whole comic book thing, and the gathering of people who read them, is kind of his area. I mean, I read comics here and there, but nowhere near the level Bob does. I'm pretty sure he spends more money a month on comic books than junkies spend on their shit. There's been many times where I've had hour long conversation with Bob that are basically me sitting there going "So who's this? And why'd he do that? And why's this guy trying to stop him?" and the cat never misses a beat. So yeah, he'll go and do whatever it is people do at those things, and I'll just wait here for the pictures of people in weird costumes from Bob, and the pictures of who the hell knows what from Amanda. She's one weird duck.

So, after last week's comic Bob's mom informed him that she just bought the new Buffett CD last week. Naturally. It's ok Mrs. Dahlstrom. I'm not saying you have bad taste in music. I'm not saying you're a bad person. All I'm saying is that you just got an angel killed. See you next week.

(P.S. Just kidding Mrs. Bob's Mom.)
