posted by BobPosted by Bob on July 16, 2004: Hey gang. Today's comic is actually written by yours truly. There's a new character introduced, and I'd like for him to stay on as a regular, because I like the design. That's up to Steve though, he is the regular writer after all. Though, I do have my ideas on how to keep him in the comic...If we do it, I'll make sure to mention it in the post. He's not based on anyone; name or appearance-wise. I just thought he looked cool like that. When I wrote the script, I had put "Pierre" in as the name for some reason, but I ended up changing it to Link, which is short for Lincoln, as he just didn't strike me as a Pierre. Last name? I don't know yet. I mean, Steve and Joe don't have last names, why should the new guy? I dunno what's up with the mohawk guy in the first panel...I just like drawing people with them. He's not the first one on the comic, and I'm sure he won't be the last. And how about that scenery? We get to see some Rice Rice Baby AND Suck it Down. Crazy!

Like I mentioned last week, I thought I may have my site up and running soon. Well, it's up now, and you an get there by clicking here. There's probably some new stuff that you've never seen on there, so if you like any of my art, check it out. The site was designed on an 800x600 res monitor, so I realize it looks kinda screwy on bigger monitors. Please bear with me, I know very little of html. I might get to fixing it at some point, but I can't make that promise. Anyway, check it out if you want. I'm told there's some good stuff up there, though I don't really believe it...

It looks like the men of Fantastic Four have been cast. Frankly, I don't know anything of these guys except for Chris Evans, so I really can't say much about it. But it's still comic movie news, so there ya go.

Here's another little bit of comic movie news. There s a screenshot of Elektra from the new forthcoming Elektra movie up. I like that they're going with the red costume vs the black one or the white one. Now if only I could start to care about Elektra...I always thought she was an ok supporting character, but I've never thought she was interesting enough to make a lead character. I've tried reading her comic a bunch of different times, but I could never get into it for more than a few issues. Ah well, I'm sure I'l see the movie when it comes out. It can't be worse than Catwoman.

In other news, people are flippin' crazy! I don't know if this story is totally true, but still. Think about it. If this was an actual story, don't you think you'd have heard about it on the news or Dateline or something by now? I'd think so. Anyway, if it is true, I'm sticking with "people are flippin' crazy." Thank You.

So, I found this online. It might be old to you, but it's new to me. Hilarious stuff, definately worth a look.

Oh, Jason of Game-Rave has overhauled his site. Frankly, I think it turned out for the best. If he's doing with the comic what he told me he was thinking about doing a while back, it should be interesting. Make sure you go read it, dammit!

Well, I know that was kind of a small post, but it's all I've got. There just wasn't much interesting for me to find to talk about this week. Maybe next week will be more fruitful. We'll see. Back in seven.

posted by StevePosted by Steve on July 16, 2004: New comic here. Bob wrote it, although the last line came from me in some previous conversation. Bob writes good enough setups, but kinda wanders off at the punchline. Although, who am I to talk? Anyway, it turned out really well. Check it out.

Anyway...um...I think that's all I've got. I was gonna write more, but I wrote two new scripts instead, and usually by the time I'm done with that, I'm really not in the mood for a news post. (This also explains the boring title for the comic.) Anyway, at least there'll be a new comic next week. See you then.
