Don't you think at this point, we'd have come up with something better to call it than the "Ticketlord machine?" Well, I suppose you'll have to just read the comic to find out. This comic was also somewhat redone from it's original form. Steve wrote an ending, and I thought I had something better, and so he took my idea and refined it. I can come up with decent ideas, but most of the time they just need some sweetening.

As you may or may not know, on February thirteenth of '03, we lost our dog Layla. She would have been fifteen in April of that year; on the fifteenth-we shared a birthday. It hit me really hard, because she was around everyday for a good long time in my life, and it was really strange for her not to be there. To this day, sometimes I'll come home and expect her to greet me as I walk in the door, or I'll hear a noise under the table and think it's her. I'm more of a cat person-I don't know why, but I like cats. They don't have the constant need to entertain you. You buy them food, they eat the food, they fuck right off. I like that. Dogs always want to be in your face, entertaining you. Anyway, my mom said she'd probably never get another dog, but in truth, she lied. Say hello to the newest member of my family, Captain. He's a four year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. We've more or less adopted him from my brother and soon to be ex-sister in law. It's not that obvious in the picture, but he's freakin' huge. His head is not unlike a canned ham. Really sweet though. It's funny too, cause he gets jealous of the cat (Blue.) If he sees you pet Blue, he'll run over and stare at Blue until he leaves so you will pet him. It's pretty funny.

Here's a neat video of a kid playing Mario music on a keyboard. He's actually pretty good. God, I can remember making that music in Mario Paint on the SNES back when that game was new. A friend and I would make all these videos of Mario getting slaughtered by turtles and things and put Mario or Metroid music in them. Fun stuff.

I'm not going to sell this video with all sorts of fancy superlatives. I'm just going to say that it is the very definition of awesome and your socks will be rocked.

Mutation. It is the key to our evolution. It has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species on the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years. But every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward. (I would like it noted that the majority of that was from memory, thank you very much.)

Now here's a teacher I'm gonna root for! Though, to be fair, if I ever had teachers like this, I would have died from all the blood loss. While I usually got straight a's in school, staying awake was never my thing. I was the kid you hated in school-I got great grades on very minimal effort. I had Survey of Western Art 2 from 9am to 945am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday one semester. I literally came in every day, said hello to the teacher as I shuffled past her in my closed eyes, slumped shoulders, walking dead glory, and proceeded to the back of the room where I collapsed into the chair. My head would hit the desk with a resounding whap, the hearty whap of head hitting oak laminate particle board. I would then sleep for a good 45 minutes, and wake up right as class was ending. I'd shuffle back out the room, and unintelligibly mumble some sort of good bye to the teacher. This would lead to me eventually finding my car and going home to go back to sleep. I don't mean this as happening once in a while. I mean out of every ten classes, this would happen nine times. I don't know what the class was for, besides just a nice little nap for me. That being said, I got an a on every assignment, an a on the paper I wrote about when I faked going to the Art Institute, (I didn't have the time, so I just made it all up based on the minimal information given on the Art Institute's website) and I got an a on both the mid term and the final. I think I learn by diffusion. Or is it Osmosis? I don't remember, I didn't sleep through any science classes.

While I'm on the subject of school, maybe I should tell you that I once used the ending text from Metal Gear Solid as a paper for a Psychology class once too. Yeah, I got an A on that as well.

Well, I suppose that's all I've got. I'll go back to my Special K and red berries while I wait for Steve to send me a new comic for next week. Back in seven.

Oh, Bob usually does the linkage thing, since he does it far better than I do, but this shit is just gold. See you next week.
