posted by StevePosted by Steve on April 23 2004: New comic here. We've had an idea to do a comic like this for some time now, but never did. (At least, I don't think we have. There's too many comics in that damn archive to check.) Anyway, it's too late for that now, so let's go over them one by one, eh?

Batman's cape. This term comes from are days with Batman Vengeance. (I'd link you to an official site, but I can't find one.) When Batman runs around, his cape kind of flows depending on the direction he's running. When me and Bob saw that, we thought it was just the coolest thing ever. No one else seems to agree. Anyway, it's a fun game, and it's pretty cheap these days. Give it a look.

Crash test dummy. Best example of this that we could think of is the Spider-Man game based on the movie. Although, now that I think of it, the whole series of Spider-Man games qualifies. You see, the original Spider-Man game for Playstation was a lot of fun. It's still one of my favorite games for the system. The only complaint by most people had was that it was a bit too easy. Unfortunately, Activision did what too many companies do when there's a complaint about their game, they over corrected. So from Spider-Man 2 on, the games have been so goddamn hard that its just not fun to play anymore. (For me at least.) Anyway, the first one is a lot of fun, so check that one out too.

Going Midway. This one pretty much explains itself. Going Midway happens in just about every damn game Midway makes. You kick the cpu's ass for awhile, then suddenly it comes charging back, leaving you frustrated and throwing your controller while the "on fire" cpu just demolishes you.

Prince. Ok, I may have made this one up for the sake of having four definitions, but it works. If you need a back story on Prince being...how to put this...insane, check out An Evening with Kevin Smith. Crazy stuff. Oh, and Civilization 2 is one of the greatest games ever. Check it out, and see you next week.

posted by BobPosted by Bob on April 23, 2004: Hey all. In this comic, you may notice a strange background in panel 3. It's not some room in the store we've never seen, its just a random place with a tv on a tv stand. The store has a plasma tv on the wall, and that wouldn't work for the image. So, Steve's...somewhere. Actually, the color scheme is based on my room. Light green on top of the trim, dark green underneath it. Also, I would like to point out that panel two was done by hand-It's not a cheap paste in. I only mention that because I like how it turned out. The Goblin was never part of the plan, but I had all this empty space, and I felt I needed something there. So, yeah. That's the legend of Think Tank #113.

Ugh. Here's another reason as to why record company executives are douchebags. First, they don't want people to download music. So, Apple rolls out the iTunes store, at 99 cents a song. And everyone is more or less happy. But now, the companies have decided that 99 cents is too cheap, so they want to raise the prices. $2.50 a song? Fuck you. I'm sorry, what I really meant there was fuck you. That's just ridiculous. Two fifty a song for a say, 11 or 12 track cd? That's just crazy. Who's gonna spend thirty bucks on a cd they can go to the store and spend ten on? And you see, there's the rub. That's exactly what they want you to do. In raising online music download prices, the companies think people will go back to the stores in droves to buy the cds again. Ugh. Raising the price of something they don't want people to do for free but will not stop doing anyway? Does that seem asinine to anyone else? (Asinine, a word I've never used before.) People will continue to download music for free as long as they have an internet connection. Once you let the dog out of the yard once or twice, it's hard to keep him at home, know what I mean? And me? You'll get my p2p and newsgroup programs out of my cold dead hands, and at no time prior to that.

Start saving those pennies kids. Some of Batman's best adventures are finally coming to dvd the way they should be; season by season instead of the stupid "best of" type crap they've been kicking out. More of a fan of Big Blue instead? Don't worry, Daddy's got your fix, babe. My dvd collection is gonna get pumped as my wallet takes a pounding...which is not necessarily a bad thing.

So, I found a cool new (Well, to me anyway,) webcomic out there, and I thought I'd share it with y'all. I don't mean this as a link to kill this comic, but I feel the need to spread the funny. It's called Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. I hate to say it's similar to the Far Side, cause I hate to have to label a comic by using a comparison, but that's the best way I can describe it. This comic has a very Gary Larson-esque vibe to it, and sister, that's not an entirely bad thing. It's a really funny comic, and in case you were curious, this is probably my favorite one. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

Here's a cool music video for ya. It's in flash, it's got one eyed stick figures, and the song is pretty good to boot. So there it is.

And since I would feel strange if I didn't post a link of some idiot hurting himself, here ya go. Speaking of idiots hurting themselves, I finally checked out Most Extreme Elimination Challenge on Spike TV. Good lord is this a great show. You simply have to check it out. I don't know what's better-the actual games themselves, or the brilliant voiceovers. Spike shows this program all the time, you have no excuse to not see it sometime. Trust me, I wouldn't lie to you.

And finally, this is for Amanda, just cause I know it'll make her giggle. Back in a week.
