posted by StevePosted by Steve on March 26 2004: New comic here. That brings this little arc to a close. I know at first we said it was the start of a long stretch of continuity, but the more we looked at it, the more it seemed like it was basically just a rehash of some stuff we had already done, so we scrapped it and just tied it up with this week's comic. I hope you don't mind.

Congrats to Jason for winning the contest. You're a sick man Charlie Brown.

Well, I was going to babble about something or other, but work's been kicking my ass this week, so just check this out and we'll meet back here in a week, ok?

posted by BobPosted by Bob on March 26, 2004: Hey gang. New comic this week brings about two changes with it. First of all, I changed the font, cause last week's comic's font just looked bad to me, so I figured it was time to shake things up a little. Personally, I like it a lot better, and I think it's easier to read. Second, I made the word balloons kind of transparent, for a couple of reasons. First of all, I've never liked in comics how the word balloon always looks like its placed on top of the artwork, rather than being integrated into it somehow. I also never liked how the word balloons cover up my art, (and without searching through the archives, cause I'm lazy,) I can definately remember a couple times where I was pissed that something covered up a cool part of the panel, so I figured I'd make the balloons a bit transparent so you can see what's being covered up a little bit. I hope you all like it, cause I do, and I plan to keep it that way.

That being out of the way, time to throw a little front page love to Theater Hopper. More specifically, the Theater Hopper forum. Even more specific than that, this particular topic. Now, I'm not going to sit here and analyze that entire list, but there's something definately strange about it...WHY is Kevin McCallister of Home Alone fame on there? Maybe Home Alone is just some sort of cinematic masterpiece that I've just conveinently forgotten in my increasingly old age, but come on. And how is Shaft a better character than Verbal Kint? Did the writers even see the Usual Suspects? I see Freddy, but where's Jason? He's just as memorable as ol' Freddy, if not more so. And any of the Kevin Smith characters? I can see not including Jay and Silent Bob, but how can you discount Randal and Dante or Holden and Banky? Sigh. This is why I need to be an entertainment writer, cause I know these things. Not only that, but I used italics three times in this paragraph. That's gotta count for something. (Four!)

Seeing as how I've become the source for comic movie news around there parts, here's some news on Spider-Man 2. First bit of business: It got pushed up to June 30th. Second bit of business: Spider-Man 3-May 4th, 2007. Rock on.

Ever want to make some quick money? Are you a virgin? Well sister, you are in luck. If this girl can do it, then you can too. Bit of a high price for cherries though. I'd just go to Jewel, I imagine they're cheaper.

So you say you're a Stan Lee fan, eh? Well, Prove it! Though why anyone would want a Stan Lee bust is beyond me. He was never that great a writer, but damn did the man have some great ideas.

All right, I'm all out of words. I've used all the words I know. So I'm just gonna stop here. Back in a week.
