Yeah, I suppose it's obvious that I bought Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for the 'Cube the other day. My favorite game of all time got better, no doubt about it. There's some great new scenes added in, and some really good new dialogue as well. Any scene with the Ninja is incredible now. He's just poetry in motion. And Mantis? He got even creepier. A great game, definately worth a look.
Beyond that, you may notice the comic is sporting a little different look this week. I know, you're probably groaning Pick a fucking look and stay with it, art boy! Well, it's not radically different than what you've been seeing. As a matter of fact, it's the same as the last few weeks, shat with the sketchy colors, but with black added, so it's more like a comic book. I've done this comic and next week's comic in this style, and I think it works rather well together with the colors and the lineart. And I'm mighty proud of that last panel. Anyhow, what do you think? Let me know. (Hopefully, Steve will have made that an Email link, cause damned if I remember how to do it.)
So, last week, I was building a CD shelf for my bedroom in the garage with my Dad. He listens to country music, and while I don't currently like it, I used to back in the day, so I will not say bad things about it. Anyway, he had on US99, a station which, I might add, doesn't seem to have changed it's playlist in the last fifteen years, and some song comes on about American soldiers and so forth. Another song was about "Have you forgotten about Bin Laden?" Mighty fine rhyme there, forgotten and Bin Laden. So, the question I came up with is this: When did country music become American Propoganda? All both of those songs were missing was Uncle Sam pointing at me. It was so awful. I expect to see the news telling me war is a good thing, I didn't expect country singers to be in the same boat. Ah well, I guess it puts US99 on the same list as Fox News and MSNBC as things I just can't tolerate anymore. Bill O'Reilly can kiss my ass.
Man, I almost got political there. As Kevin Smith would say, "Time for some more dick and fart jokes."
Well, not really. How about some comic book crap? That's right, I'm the pusher and you can't help but be addicted. There's an article at FHM.com about hellboy, which you can find at that link, conveinently enough. And how about another TV spot for it? Well, ask and ye shall receive. I do all the work in this relationship, you know.
Well, this post is becoming more and more nonsensical to me, so I'm just gonna call it here. Time of death, 11:31 PM.
