posted by StevePosted by Steve on March 5, 2004: New comic here. If it seems to end rather suddenly, that's because it was once part of a much bigger comic, but we chopped it in half and made two comics out of it, because it was far to large, and because if i can turn one script into two comics, and therefore, two weeks worth of work for me, it makes Bob all the more jealous, which is always good.

I was originally going to skip the old news post this week, because work has apparently decided that i'm it's prisoner, and even now I'm even now only on a brief furlough to eat and sleep, but Bob reminded me that this week marks the two year anniversary of the comic, and insisted that I write something. Personally, I think he's just bitter about how little I do compared to him in this little partnership. But that's a story for another day. So, I'm writing this on my lunch break.

Anyway, the fact that we've been doing this, that we've actually stuck to this for two years, is such a strange concept that I can't even wrap my brain around it. It's as if you asked me "what if our heads were made of butter?" It's such an odd concept, you can't really get a grasp on it. I mean, Bob and I both have the attention span of a small, dumb animal. Games get old fast, channels get changed quickly, etc. When we first started this, I expected that soon afterwards Bob or I would go "yeah, I'm bored, screw this." Or worse, that at some point I would just completely run out of ideas, and the comic would grind to a halt because of it. (I still worry about that one, to be honest.)

So anyway, I hope you guys have enjoyed the last couple years. ("Couple years". Say that out loud. It just doesn't sound right.) And I just wanted to thank you guys for sticking around. I know we don't have a huge following, but I know you're out there. We don't get a ton of mail or forum activity, and when discussing it with a friend once, his theory was that we're "big with the 'no hands' crowd."

He's probably wrong, but it's better than anything I could come up with. See you next week.

posted by BobPosted by Bob on March 5, 2004: Hey gang. Looking at the calendar tells me that today marks two years to the day we started this little comic up. And with that, I'd like to say A: Thanks for sticking with us for this long, and B: Effective next week, I am stepping down as artist of Think Tank. I have not mentioned this to Steve or Amanda or anyone yet-It was a decision I made yesterday. It's been a great ride, but I'm sure Steve can find someone to fill these size fourteen shoes I've left.

I keed, I keed. I joke with you!

Seriously, this comic is like a drug, the itch is constant. It's all I do. Literally the minute I finish a comic, I ask Steve what the next comic will be. If I could, I'd have a new comic up here every day. Unfortunately, neither Steve or I has enough ideas to fill all that time that quickly. I think one concentrated blast of funny is better than five sprays of medocrity, don't you?

Okay, enough with the two year ego masturbation, lets get to some news. How about this? McDonalds is trimming down it's menu cause we are a nation of fat bastards. Apparently, the super-size option is going the way of..something that goes away. Here's the story. What follows is a quote from the article: "A new adult-version of its Happy Meal, which will come with water, fruit, a pedometer and a diet produced by Oprah Winfrey's trainer, Bob Greene, also is expected to be rolled out nationally this year." Now, I almost mistook that as a piece of writing from the Onion, cause that's just comic gold right there.

Ooooh, a big anti Michael Eisner vote. All right Disney, that's the first step in the right direction.

So what if he is dead? I don't care. I'm wishing Dr. Seuss a happy birthday anyway, and there's nothing any of you can do about it. Unless you happen to be Steve, but he likes Dr.Seuss too, so that's just too bad.

If there's one thing to be known about me, it's that I love goofy flash games. Here's a cool one: Whack a Penguin!

Alright, I think I'm done typing. I'll be back in a week.
