posted by StevePosted by Steve on January 23, 2004: This week's comic comes with a special assist from Jason. I was sitting around a few weeks ago trying to come up with a comic (mainly just falling asleep in my chair though) and Jason was online at the time and gave me the idea.

It's also comic #100, which I guess is something. I've always thought the 2 year anniversary is more important than the 100th comic, so we'll save the speeches til then.

Anyway, I'm happy to say that Prince of Persia fucking rocks. It's just outstanding. It's what all other action/platform style games should be judged by.

Also, rewinding time is bad ass. Like, I think every game should have this option. It should be as standard as volume controls and controller configurations. Bob just sort of laughed this off when I first told him about it, but when I explained that I want my next baseball game to have a rewind time feature, he understood how serious I was. Or he just thought I was fuckin nuts. One or the other.

Also, I'm happy to say that Splinter Cell isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, though I admittedly have only played to about the second level or so (not counting that first training mission.) Shooting out lights for cover is great, and another thing that I think should be in more games. I'm not sure how that would work into a baseball game though. Maybe the pitcher shoots the lights out to get an advantage on the hitter? The crowd shoots the lights out and jumps the beer vendor? Anyway, its in my "games I need to really get into one of these days" pile.

I think that's about all I've got. See you next week.

Ever want to write a Think Tank comic but just didn't know what to write? Or felt maybe you could use the help of a few other people? Well, your answer is right here! The catch? You can only use five words at a time. And you have to wait for someone to add on to what you write...If you were to reply and reply and reply to yourself that'd be cheating.

The Spider-Man 2 website has uploaded a couple more wallpapers. I'd hate like hell to see you take MY wallpapers off your desktop, but if you feel the need to replace em, *sniff* then you would do good in using Spider-Man.

Since I'm in a movie mood, here's the trailer for Van Helsing. It more or less looks how I imagine a Castlevania movie would be. Bad Freakin' Ass! I MUST see this movie. Vampires? Check. Frankenstein? Check. Hugh Jackman? Check. He's so dreamy. *starry eyed sigh*

So, I finally got to see Freddy vs Jason. First, I bought it on Tuesday and watched it. Then, I watched it again on Wednesday. Oh man, it's a fun movie. Nothing that will ever win any sort of awards, but considering the source material, it's actually got a decent story. Most surprisingly of all, all of the characters aren't completely retarded as in most horror movies. They actually figure out how to do things in this one. Course, that doesn't save em all from Freddy and Jason. And the final fight between the two of em? Sweet zombie christ is it great. Definately worth my wait; Can't wait for FvJ2.

I *think* Mac Hall linked to these guys...I could be wrong, but that's incidental. Check out Apple Geeks, it's a pretty damn good comic.

So, like I've asked before, how fucked is our media? Fox news channel had a Breaking news story today...IT WAS TO ANNOUNCE BEN AFFLECK AND JENNIFER LOPEZ HAD BROKEN UP. You know, when I hear "breaking news," I think of things like the Twin Towers getting hit by a plane, the Oklahoma City bombing, presidents being assassinated-stuff like that. Not the damn couple of the moment breaking up. Ugh. This is why I don't bother with the news anymore.

That's it. That's all I have. Well, before I go I want you all to congratulate my brother Mike on the birth of his FIFTH child, Philip. One more and he's got my parents beat.
