Posted by Bob on April 27, 2002: Well, what can I say? It's a damn shame that another great talent is gone before he should have been. That, and Alice in Chains never truly got the recognition they deserved.

Posted by Bob on April 5, 2004: Steve and I were talking about Alice In Chains recently. He ranked them in his top five bands of all time. It got me to thinking how overshadowed AIC was during their prime by other bands like Nirvana or Soundgarden, or even bands that were no where near as good as them, like Silverchair or Bush. It's such a shame, cause Layne Staley was the man. If you don't have them now, run to the store and get any AIC albums you can find. I'd especially recommend Unplugged. It is such an amazing set. Buy it, you won't be upset you did.
