posted by BobPosted by Bob on March 6, 2002: Well, here it is. Finally. Steve came to me with the prospect of doing a web comic strip and I said "sure!" The design aspect of it went relatively well, as coming up with a look and design of the characters went relatively smoothly.

Strangely though, just drawing this meager strip took a loooong time. Things should go smoother from here on in, as I have a better grasp of what I want things to look like and such. Also, before you say "Hey, your art is inconsistent!" I just have to say "I know." My talent is mediocre, and it is only through your support and my constant practice that I will improve. I mean, look at the Simpsons. Compare it then to now. Enough said! So hopefully, things will be better in time. For now: Courage.

Looking back at this, It's funny how much things have changed since I first did this. The most obvious thing is if you look at the shelves there compared to any other comic, you'll notice how Bob and the customer are only a couple inches taller than it. Yes, in this comic, Bob is a foot and a half tall. Kinda sad, isn't it? This is one of the only comics where you see my actual handwriting in it. The store names in the top panel were all hand lettered, and as you can see, it's one of the few times I've done that, for good reason.
